Taxonomy
Rhombotrypella boulangei was named by Termier and Termier (1971). Its type specimen is not designated and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Tezak, Fusuline Hill and Beds 8-9 km West, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in Afghanistan.
