Biplatyconcha grandis

Taxonomy
Platyconcha grandis was named by Waterhouse (1975) [Not stated where type specimens held]. Its type specimen is Specimen 380 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is W1466, Crystal Mountain, Shay Gompa, Karnali, which is in a Changhsingian marine siliciclastic in the Senja Formation of Nepal. It is the type species of Biplatyconcha, Platyconcha.

It was recombined as Biplatyconcha grandis by Waterhouse (1983), Briggs (1998), Shen et al. (2001), Shen et al. (2003), Waterhouse and Chen (2007), Xu et al. (2018).
