Dielasma cordatum
Taxonomy
Dielasma cordatum was named by Girty (1909). Its type specimen is USNM 118576, a valve (Dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2926 green, Capitan Peak, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Capitan Formation of Texas.
