Pseudodielasma scutulatum
Taxonomy
Dielasma scutulatum was named by Girty (1909). Its type specimen is USNM 118578a and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2926 green, Capitan Peak, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Capitan Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Pseudodielasma scutulatum by Cooper and Grant (1976).
