Crenispirifer alpheus
Taxonomy
Spiriferina alpha was named by Huang (1933). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ts'ingyen, Locality T306, Wanch'ang, Kueiyang-hsien, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in China.
It was recombined as Punctospirifer alpheus by Tong (1978), Liao (1980), Wang et al. (1982), Liao (1987), Liang (1990); it was recombined as Crenispirifer alpheus by Shen et al. (2002), Campi et al. (2005), Shen and Zhang (2008), Shen and Clapham (2009); it was recombined as Paraspiriferina alpha by Xu and Grant (1994), Chen (2009).
It was recombined as Punctospirifer alpheus by Tong (1978), Liao (1980), Wang et al. (1982), Liao (1987), Liang (1990); it was recombined as Crenispirifer alpheus by Shen et al. (2002), Campi et al.
