Stenopora tasmaniensis

Taxonomy
Stenopora tasmaniensis was named by Lonsdale (1844). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southern Van Diemen's Land (Porter Hill shoreline), which is in a Sakmarian marine siltstone/limestone in the Bundella Formation of Australia.

It was recombined as Chaetetes tasmaniensis by Dana (1849).

Synonyms
  • Stenopora johnstoni was named by Etheridge (1891). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Porter's Hill, Sandy Bay, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Bundella Formation of Australia.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Stenopora tasmaniensis by Reid (2003).
