Taxonomy
Echinalosia glabra was named by Briggs (1998). Its type specimen is UQF 27677, a valve (Ventral valve internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GSQ D43, Banana-Barfield Road, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal sandstone in the Flat Top Formation of Australia.
