Virgatocypris mezzalirai
Taxonomy
Virgatocypris mezzalirai was named by Dias-Brito et al. (2001). Its type specimen is UNESPl-BU69, a carapace, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Quarry Triângulo, BR-050 (km 50), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Serra da Galga Formation of Brazil.
