Grallator matsiengensis

Grallator matsiengensis was named by Ellenberger (1970). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is MNHN LES 283 - cast of lost holotype, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Matsieng tracksite (zone B/5), which is in a Pliensbachian terrestrial sandstone in the Clarens Formation of Lesotho. It is the type species of Paragrallator, Paragrallator.

It was recombined as Paragrallator matsiengensis by Ellenberger (1972); it was considered a nomen nudum by Bordy (2021).
