Quetzalcoatlus northropi
Taxonomy
Quetzalcoatlus northropi was named by Lawson (1975). Its type specimen is TMM 41450-3, a set of postcrania (Partial forelimb), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TMM 41450, Dawson Creek, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in the Javelina Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Quetzalcoatlus.
