Taxonomy
Centrocyrtoceras was named by Foerste (1933). Its type is Cyrtoceras subannulatum.

It was assigned to Barrandeoceratidae by Teichert et al. (1964), Crick (1981); and to Barrandeocerida by Sepkoski (2002).
