Masillacolius
Taxonomy
Masillacolius was named by Mayr and Peters (1998) [Small, probably fully, but at least facultatively, pamprodactyl bird, which exhibits all diagnostic features of the Coliidae mentioned above. Autapomorphic for the genus Masillacolius are the slender tarsometatarsus, and the asymmetric and extremely short trochlea metatarsi III.].
It was assigned to Zygodactylidae by Mlikovsky (2002); and to Coliidae by Mayr and Peters (1998), Mayr and Mourer-Chauviré (2004), Mayr (2022).
