Taxonomy
Euchondria callytharraensis was named by Dickins (1963). Its type specimen is CPC 3928, a valve (Left valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is BMR G202, Lyons River Homestead, which is in a Sakmarian coastal siliciclastic in the Callytharra Formation of Australia.
