Cebochoerus (Gervachoerus) jaegeri was named by Sudre (1978). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bouxwiller, which is in a Lutetian terrestrial marl in France.
It was recombined as Gervachoerus jaegeri by Franzen (2004) and Erfurt and Metais (2007).
