Istiodactylus latidens

Taxonomy
Ornithodesmus latidens was named by Seeley (1901). Its type specimen is BMNH R176, a partial skeleton (incomplete skull, axial skeleton, wings), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brook (Fox collection) [PROXY], which is in a Barremian terrestrial horizon in the Wessex Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Istiodactylus.

It was recombined as Istiodactylus latidens by Unwin (2003), Andres and Ji (2006), Andres et al. (2014), Headden and Campos (2014), Vila Nova et al. (2014).
