Eorubeta nevadensis
Taxonomy
Eorubeta nevadensis was named by Hecht (1960). Its type specimen is AMNH 7602, a partial skeleton (Organic imprint of a skull and parial skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Standard Oil Company of California Line Unit No. 1, which is in a Maastrichtian/Paleocene lacustrine horizon in the Sheep Pass Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Eorubeta.
