Calcardea junnei
Taxonomy
Calcardea junnei was named by Gingerich (1987). Its type specimen is UM 76882, a partial skeleton (fragmentary sternum, coracoids, left humerus, vertebrae, tarsometatarsi, and phalanges), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Discovery Site, which is in an Eocene wet floodplain wackestone in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
