Taxonomy
Cymaclymenia was named by Hyatt (1884) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-m D Fame-u]. It is the type genus of Cymaclymeniidae, Cymaclymeniinae.

It was assigned to Clymeniida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cymaclymeniinae by Korn (2006), Korn and Sudar (2016).
