Gallinuloides wyomingensis

Taxonomy
Gallinuloides wyomingensis was named by Eastman (1900). Its type specimen is MCZ 342221, a skeleton (complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 18-inch-layer, F1-locality, which is in a Lostcabinian lacustrine - large limestone in the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Gallinuloides.

It was recombined as Palaeobonasa wyomingensis by Shufeldt (1915).
