Fluvioviridavis platyrhamphus
Taxonomy
Fluvioviridavis platyrhamphus was named by Mayr and Daniels (2001) [from "the Green River Formation": type was originally assigned to Prefica nivea by Olson (1987)]. Its type specimen is SMNK.PAL.2368a+b, a skeleton (nearly complete, slightly dissociated skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tynsky Quarry, which is in a Wasatchian lacustrine - large limestone in the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Fluvioviridavis.
