Taxonomy
Endothiodon mahalanobisi was named by Ray (2000). Its type specimen is ISI R 201, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Golet I + II, which is in a Wuchiapingian wet floodplain sandstone/mudstone in the Kundaram Formation of India.
