Hoazinoides magdalenae
Taxonomy
Hoazinoides magdalenae was named by Miller (1953). Its type specimen is Univ. Calif. Mus. Paleo. no. 42823, a partial skull (partial skull, complete dorsally from midfrontal level to foramen magnum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP Locality V 4517, which is in a Miocene terrestrial claystone in Colombia.
