Ophiacodon hilli
Taxonomy
Winfieldia hilli was named by Romer (1925). Its type specimen is FMNH (WM) 454, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wildcat Canyon, which is in a Sakmarian/Artinskian marine horizon in the Barneston Limestone Formation of Kansas. It is the type species of Winfieldia.
It was recombined as Ophiacodon hilli by Romer and Price (1940) and Reisz (1986).
