Paleothyris acadiana
Taxonomy
Paleothyris acadiana was named by Carroll (1969). Its type specimen is MCZ 3481, a skeleton (almost complete), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dominion Coal Co. strip mine No. 7, which is in a Westphalian C/Westphalian D mire/swamp coal/shale in Canada. It is the type species of Paleothyris.
