Pterorhynchus wellnhoferi
Taxonomy
Pterorhynchus wellnhoferi was named by Czerkas and Ji (2002). Its type specimen is CAGS02-IG-gausa-2/DM 608, a skeleton (Nearly complete skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (IVPP collection), which is in a Callovian lacustrine - large shale/tuff in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.
