Fodonyx spenceri
Taxonomy
Rhynchosaurus spenceri was named by Benton (1990). Its type specimen is EXEMS 60/1985.292, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fodonyx (Rhynchosaurus) spenceri holotype site (EXEMS 60/1985.292), which is in an Anisian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Otter Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Fodonyx.
It was recombined as Fodonyx spenceri by Hone and Benton (2008).
