Waimanu manneringi
Taxonomy
Waimanu manneringi was named by Jones et al. (2006). Its type specimen is CM zfa35, a partial skeleton (associated part skeleton with right tibiotarsus, proximal fibula, tarsometatarsus, and pelvis with synsacrum and four caudal vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waipara River M34/f453, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian coastal horizon in the Waipara Greensand Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Waimanu.
