Noteosuchus colletti
Taxonomy
Eosuchus colletti was named by Watson (1912). Its type specimen is AMSA 3591, a partial skeleton (postcrania only), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grassy Ridge, which is in an Induan terrestrial limestone in the Katberg Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Noteosuchus, Eosuchus.
It was recombined as Noteosuchus colletti by Broom (1925), Carroll (1976) and Ezcurra (2016).
