Taxonomy
Eutomoceras was named by Hyatt (1877) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302].

It was assigned to Tropitidae by von Mojsisovics (1896); to Paraceratitinae by Tozer (1981); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ceratitidae by Spath (1951), Tongtherm et al. (2016).
