It was synonymized subjectively with Ornithomimipus by Haubold (1971); it was misspelled as Irenesaurichnites by Lockley (1992), Romero Molina et al. (2003), Lockley et al. (2011).
It was assigned to Anomoepodidae by Sternberg (1932); to Saurischia by Kuhn (1958); to Theropoda by Kuhn (1963); to Theropoda by Lockley (1992), Romero Molina et al. (2003); and to Ornithomimipodidae by Lockley et al. (2011).
