Lariosaurus buzzii
Taxonomy
Lariosaurus buzzii was named by Tschanz (1989). Its type specimen is PMZ T2804, a skeleton (disarticulated skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Point 902, Monte San Giorgio, unspecified bed, which is in an Illyrian/Fassanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Switzerland.
It was recombined as Silvestrosaurus buzzii by Kuhn-Schnyder (1990).
