Perugyps diazi
Taxonomy
Perugyps diazi was named by Stucchi and Emslie (2005). Its type specimen is MUSM 213, a limb element (right carpometacarpus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sud Sacaco, Montemar, which is in a Messinian paralic siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru. It is the type species of Perugyps.
