Hollinella postacuta was named by Zalanyi (1974). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Italogeisina postacuta by Kozur (1985); it was recombined as Sargentina postacuta by Crasquin (2008) and Kolar-Jurkovšek et al. (2024).
