Taxonomy
Cavellina triassica was named by Crasquin (2008). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bulla section BU24, upper Mazzin Member, Ortisei, which is in a Griesbachian open shallow subtidal mudstone/siltstone in the Werfen Formation of Italy.
