Taxonomy
Bairdiacypris caeca was named by Shi (1987). Its type specimen is NIGP 91834 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Meishan Ostracod Sample 56, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
