Taxonomy
Seggeurius amourensis was named by Crochet (1986). Its type specimen is UO-K206, a tooth (isolated left upper M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Kohol, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine marl in Algeria.
