It was recombined as Cardita (Cardita) antiquata by Malatesta (1963); it was recombined as Venericardia antiquata by Glibert and van de Poel (1966); it was recombined as Cardites antiquatus by Freneix et al. (1988); it was recombined as Cardites antiquata by El-Sorogy (2002) and Hendy (2007).
