Taxonomy
Casterella wardakensis was named by Termier et al. (1974). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Caparay Ghar Section A, Bed 5, Wardak, which is in an Asselian marine sandstone in the Wardak Formation of Afghanistan.
