Taxonomy
Ussurites was named by Hyatt (1900) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis Tr Ladi Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Monophyllites sichoticus.

It was reranked as Monophyllites (Ussurites) by Diener (1915).

It was assigned to Monophyllites by Diener (1915); to Monophyllitidae by Spath (1934); to Phylloceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ussuritidae by Kummel (1969), McLearn (1969), Tozer (1981), Tozer (1994) and Brayard et al. (2009).
