Morus recentior
Taxonomy
Miosula recentior was named by Howard (1949). Its type specimen is LACM 2117/1071, a limb element (left tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Curlew Street & Ostego Drive, which is in a Piacenzian coastal sandstone in the San Diego Formation of California.
It was recombined as Morus recentior by Chandler (1990).
