Taxonomy
Dielasma biplex was named by Waagen (1882).

It was recombined as Dielasma (Heterelasma) biplex by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Pakistania biplex by Stehli (1961); it was recombined as Whitspakia biplex by Stehli (1964), Fantini Sestini (1965), Fantini Sestini (1965), Angiolini and Carabelli (2010).
