Taxonomy
Trigonotreta victoriae was named by Archbold (1991). Its type specimen is MVP 120316, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coimadai Creek, Lake Merrimu, which is in a Sakmarian marine conglomerate in Australia.
