Taxonomy
Xenosaria tenuis was named by Shen and Clapham (2009). Its type specimen is NIGP 143586, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample EP, Episkopi, Hydra, which is in a Wuchiapingian reef, buildup or bioherm wackestone in the Episkopi Formation of Greece.
