Australovenator wintonensis
Taxonomy
Australovenator wintonensis was named by Hocknull et al. (2009). Its type specimen is AODF 604, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Matilda Site, Elderslie Station (AODL 0085), which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian fine channel fill claystone/sandstone in the Winton Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Australovenator.
