Taxonomy
Ophthalmoplax comancheensis was named by Rathbun (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 2 to 3 mi N of Denison, type-locality of Duck Creek limestone, which is in an Albian marine limestone in the Duck Creek Formation of Texas.
