Taxonomy
Tartuosteus zheleznogorskensis was named by Moloshnikov (2007). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mikhailovskii Mine, Zheleznogorsk, which is in a Frasnian lagoonal claystone/sandstone in the Russian Federation.
