Ctenoptychius apicalis
Taxonomy
Ctenoptychius apicalis was named by Agassiz (1838). Its type specimen is BMNH P.496, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Silverdale, South Staffordshire (BMNH), which is in a Moscovian terrestrial horizon in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Ctenoptychius.
