Taxonomy

Oxyrhina primaeva was named by Dalinkevičius (1935).

It was recombined as Squalicorax primaevus by Biddle (1993), Siverson (1997), Smart (2007).

Synonyms

Squalicorax primigenius was named by Landemaine (1991). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Greenish black muds of the Šventoji river, which is in an Albian marine mudstone in the Jiesia Formation of Lithuania.

It was synonymized subjectively with Squalicorax primaevus by Smart (2007).
Pseudocorax primulus was named by Müller and Diedrich (1991). Its type specimen is Nr. 12 496 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ascheloh, which is in a Cenomanian marine limestone in Germany.

It was synonymized subjectively with Squalicorax volgensis by Siverson (1996); it was synonymized subjectively with Pseudocorax granti by Siverson (1997); it was synonymized subjectively with Squalicorax primaevus by Smart (2007).
