Taxonomy
Protosqualus glickmani was named by Averianov (1997). Its type specimen is ZIN PC 1/13, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SSI-2, Sinenkiye 2, which is in a Cenomanian coastal sandstone in the Russian Federation.
