It was assigned to Himalayitinae by Verma and Westermann (1973), Myczynski (1989); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Himalayitidae by Bulot et al. (2014), Vašíček and Skupien (2016), Salazar and Stinnesbeck (2016); and to Himalayitinae by Frau et al. (2016).
